Myanmar-Thailand expressway expansion planned

Myanmar-Thailand expressway will be upgraded to a four lane road in ten years, according to a report of Dawei Special Economic Zone Implementing Project.
The expressway was originally constructed by the Italian-Thai Development (ITD) as an earth road, according to Vice President of Central Bank Sett Aung.
Currently they are seeking overseas investors to upgrade the earth road. The company who agrees to invest will have to give back the expenses to ITD in accord with international consultants.
The government has made five steps to implement the special economic zone and will intend to carry it out in 75 years.
