Govt units ordered to assist flood victims

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has ordered the Interior and Defense ministries to prevent floods and help flood victims, said Suranand Vejjajiva, prime minister's secretary.
In his tweets, he said Deputy Prime Minister Plodprasop Suraswadi today boarded a boat to inspect the water level in the Chao Phraya River. He was accompanied by the Ayutthaya and Angthong governors.
He also said disaster units are instructed to speed up assistance to the flood victims.
