Manila - A magnitude-7.2 earthquake struck the central Philippines Tuesday, killing at least four people, officials said.

The tremor occurred 2 kilometres south-east of Carmen town in Bohol province, 640 kilometres south of Manila, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.
The first victims were reported from a building collapse in Cebu City, about 60 kilometres north of the epicentre, said Minda Morante, a regional civil defence director.//DPA
