Amnesty bill changed by vetting panel to become 'end-of-soi' version to benefit Thaksin

The majority side of the panel vetting the amnesty bill voted Friday to annul all legal cases made after the September 19 2006 coup.

The vetting panel voted to amend the bill to have the so-called “end-of-soi” impact to annul all legal cases following the coup.
If this version is enacted, all legal cases agasinst former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra would be annulled, including the Ratchadapisek land case that saw him receiving two-year jail term.
