Senator claims 90 members of upper chamber against amnesty bill

Paibul Nititawan, an appointed senator, claimed Monday that about 90 senators would vote against the amnesty bill.

He said he had talked to elected senators from central and southern provinces and some 30 of them would reject the bill. Earlier, 60 other senators have announced their stand against the bill so there are 90 senators who would not accept the draft, Paibul claimed.
