ESCAP postpones report launch

The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is postponing the launch of its "Statistical Yearbook for Asia and the Pacific 2013".

The yearbook was scheduled to take place on November 12 at the United Nations Conference Centre, Bangkok.

ESCAP said in a statement that the new date will be announced shortly.

Protests around Bangkok are forcing the postponement of some business activities. Companies cited traffic inconvenience as the reason.
