Border villagers relieved

Villagers in the Ban Phum Srol of Si Sa Ket erupted in joy Monday evening after Thai ambassador to Hague Veerachai Plasai, who heads the Thai legal team at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), announced that Thailand was not losing the 4.6-square-km

“It’s a relief,” said a female villager. “Now, we can live in peace.”
According to Veerachai, the ICJ has advised Thailand and Cambodia should talk in a bid to determine the exact vicinity of the Preah Vihear Temple.
In 1962, the ICJ ruled that the Preah Vihear Temple was located in Cambodia.
