Suthep-led protesters occupy Finance Ministry's compound

Former Democrat MP Suthep Thaugsuban declared Monday afternoon that the protesters led by him will stay put inside the Finance Ministry's compound as the forward army to fight against the Thaksin regime.

He made the announcement at 1:31 pm that the Rajdamnoen road would remain the main rally site but his group of protesters would be a forward command of the protesters.
Suthep led the protesters to enter the compound at 12:40 pm and he led the protesters to pay respect to sacred things inside the ministry.
Suthep and protesters walked around the compound to check doors for entering the buildings but all the doors were closed.
While the protesters were walking around, Finance Ministry officials, who were trapped on upper floors, waved to and cheered the protesters.
The power inside all buildings was blacked out.
