Police beef up security around Government House

Police Saturday stepped up security around the Government House a day ahead of the planned seizure of the compound by the protesters led by former Democrat Party MP Suthep Thaugsuban.

Police installed more concrete barriers and barbwires around all gates to the Government House’s compound.
Riot-control police also donned full riot gear and carried baton and shield.
Government Officials also gradually packed important documents for fear that they may not be able to go inside to continue their work on Monday.
Suthep threatened to let protesters to occupy the Government House on Sunday to try to paralyse the administration.
