Khamronvit not removed as CAPO force commander, just supervised by deputy police chief: CAPO spokesm

Pol Maj Gen Piya Uthayo, the spokesman of the Centre for Administration of Peace and Order denied that Pol Lt Gen Khamronvit Thupkrajang has been removed as the commander of 20,000 police forces for the CAPO.
Piya said Police Commissioner-General Pol Gen Adul Saengsingkaew simply appointed his deputy, Pol Gen Worapong Chiewpreecha, to supervise Khamronvit as the CAPO force commander.
Earlier, it was reported that Khamronvit was removed as the CAPO force commander because he was a main target of protesters, who unsuccessfully tried storm into the Metropolitan Police Bureau headed by Khamronvit.
Protesters demanded Khamronvit to retract his words that he had progressed in his police career so far because of backing by former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
