Gat/Pat schedule postponed in wake of unrest

In the wake of serious anti-government rallies, the upcoming General Aptitude Test (GAT) and Professional and Academic Aptitude Test (PAT) will be postponed to March next year.
The National Institute of Educational Testing Service (NIETS), which organises the tests, yesterday announced that the Gat/Pat was rescheduled to take place between March 8 and March 11, 2014.
Initially, they were scheduled to run from December 7 to December 10 this year.
The results of the Gat/Pat will be announced on April 24.
Gat/Pat scores are the main admission criteria for students applying to higher-education institutes.
