Mercury to drop by 7 to 9 degrees in North during Monday to Wednesday, forecast agency says

The Meteorological Department expects the temperature in the North to drop by seven to nine Celsius degrees from Monday to Wednesday.
The department expects the drop of temperature because of the influence of a westerly trough from Myanmar, which is now covering the North.
The department said the lowest temperature on the lowland area of the North ranged from 18 to 22 degrees on Friday and from 5 to 10 degrees on mountaintops.
