EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy is following the recent events in the Thailand with concern.
In a statement released on Friday, Catherine Ashton who visited Thailand on November 13 "called upon all parties to abide by democratic principles, avoid escalation and resolve their differences through peaceful means."
"The High Representative calls on all involved to seize the crucial opportunity of the February 2 elections to move forward peacefully within Thailand's democratic and constitutional framework."
