Election Commission on Sunday revealed that 89 constituencies, out of 375 nationwide, failed to hold advance voting.
Election Commissioner Somchai Srisuthiyakorn said that of the 89, 33 were in Bangkok while 56 others in the south.
He said that about 440,000 voters or 22 per cent of the two million voters who registered to vote in advance cannot cast the ballots.
The number was huge when compared to previous advance votings.
They could not hold the advance voting as scheduled after anti-government protesters blocked the venues.
