The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has charged Yingluck with neglect of duty for failing to stop the scheme from damaging the state. She is due to testify to the NACC on March 14.
Phiraphan Phalusuk said there are several documents related to the charges and the team of lawyers needed more time to prepare.
He added the NACC had allowed Yingluck’s lawyers to review evidence against her in the ricepledging case on Tuesday. Phiraphan is also caretaker Science and Technology minister.
