Thai businesses expected to invest higher in Asean nations

Thai businesses are expected to invest higher in Asean countries this year instead of focusing their investment at home due to the country's prolonged political turbulence, according to the survey of the University of Thai Chamber of Commerce.
The UTCC has surveyed 300 business operators, asking them to estimate their investment in Asean this year amid the political problem in Thailand.
The survey found that the Thai investment in the neighbours is expected to reach Bt123 billion this year due to the politcal disturbance at home. If no such political problem, the direct investment of Thai businesses in Asean is expected to be Bt77 billion this year.
