Abhisit breaks his collarbone, surgery scheduled for Wednesday evening

Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva slipped and fell on Wednesday morning, breaking his right collarbone the party spokesman said.
Democrat spokesman Chavanon Intharakomalsut said the accident occurred at Abhisit’s house on Soi Sukhumvit 31.
He was rushed to the Ramathibodi Hospital where an x-ray revealed a broken collarbone, Chavanon said.
He will go into surgery on Wednesday evening and could stay in the hospital for a couple of days, the spokesman said.
Chavanon said Abhisit’s injury would not affect the Democrat’s assembly on Friday and Saturday because he could assign a deputy leader to chair the meeting on his behalf.
