Banharn says he supports Abhisit's quest for solution

Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva Tuesday met former prime minister and chief advisor of Chartthai Pattana's party leader Banharn Silapa-archa and chief adviser to Chart Pattana Party Suwat Liptapanlop.

After the meeting with Banharn, Abhisit said in a joint press conference that both agreed that the political situation is overwhelmed with conflicts and fragile. Leaving the problems unsolved would lead to damages.
Banharn said his party was waiting and seeing the situation including the decision and movements of the Election Commission, which is legally obliged to hold and be responsible for the election.
The party proposes no solution but has no problem if the EC would decide to hold an election on July 20, he said. His party, in the meantime, would give moral support to Abhisit and hoped that the country would accordingly return to peace.
