The test result should be available in three days, police said. The people reportedly wanted to confront and attack the girl’s killer.
Since the girl went missing on May 9, Thai social network members have shared her information widely in the hope of finding her. On Monday, the girl’s body was found in a sewerage pipe on Phra Ngam Road, one kilometre away from home.
Police summoned three suspects including a 35-year-old neighbour who was the last person to see her and had a prior conviction for molestation.
Case investigator Pol Colonel Niran Pandam said none of the three suspects confessed and were, thus far, merely persons of interest to them.
The prime suspect, whose pick-up truck was seized, was initially charged for taking narcotics, Niran said.
