Colonel Sombat Thanyawan, commander of the Army Cavalry School in Saraburi, led the soldiers in filing the complaints at Phaya Thai Police Station.
The protesters violated orders by the National Council for Peace and Order by holding the demonstration, assaulting military and police personnel and damaging government property.
Sombat reportedly told police that more than 10 soldiers were injured. Most sustained minor injuries, but one soldier was hospitalised with a serious eye injury. He warned anti-coup protesters to stop rallying so that the unrest can end.
