Chief of National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) General Prayuth Chan-ocha said if the political problems continue, the country will be badly affected and the problems will also affect relations and cooperation with the foreign countries.

The NCPO had to step in to end the problems and violence as well as return happiness to the country, Prayuth said, adding that the NCPO’s intention is aimed to restore peace so that Thai and foreign people feel happy and safe.
He said the NCPO”s move is also aimed at protecting the monarchy that has been above the problems all along. The NCPO did all with respect to the laws and human rights and it is using only necessary power to stop the violence that took place in the country for long time and to protect the human rights, Prayuth said.
