Junta sets up taskforce to inspect rice warehouses

The junta government Friday set up a 100-strong taskforce to inspect more than 1,800 rice warehouses nationwide to ensure transparency with the ricestock figure and quality.

Interior Ministry deputy permanent secretary Panadda Diskul, the acting PM's Office permanent secretary, announced the taskforce’s establishment Friday after chairing a meeting of the sub-committee overseeing the inspections.
The inspection team will consist of representatives from the PM’s Office, the Army, police, the Interior Ministry, the Commerce Ministry, the Agriculture Ministry, and National AntiCorruption Commission.
