The release came after police decided not to file charges against them. The group was taken to Aranyaprathet border checkpoint in the province on Friday morning and allowed to travel to Cambodia through Poipet town.
Both Thai and Cambodian authorities denied that the release of the 14 Cambodians was in exchange for the release of Veera Somkwamkid, a yellowshirt activist, who was sentenced in 2011 to eight years in jail on charges of espionage and trespassing.
Veera was granted a royal pardon on Tuesday and returned home on Wednesday.
