Prayuth denies NCPO to abolish benefits of political officials

Junta chief Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha said Friday night that the National Council for Peace and Order did not intend to revoke any privileges and benefits of political officials.
He said the NCPO would like to adjust the benefits to be in line with the civil service system.
He said the benefits of political officials should be similar to the civil service system which is based on years of service and certain calculation factors in order to create fairness and reduce conflicts.
This issue will be discussed further once the new government is in place, Prayuth added.
