Princess in hospital

Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Valayalaksana has been admitted to Bangkok's Vichaiyut Hospital as a result of stomach inflammation and exhaustion, the Bureau of the Royal Household announced in a statement yesterday.

Doctors examined the princess and diagnosed her as suffering gastritis and intravenously provided her with medicine and nutrients, the bureau said. 

It said doctors recommended the princess remain in hospital for a while and refrain from work. 
The princes, in her capacity as honorary president of the Princess Mother’s Medical Volunteers Foundation, regularly visits rural areas.
She is following in the footsteps of their Royal Highnesses the late Princess Mother and the late Princess Galyani Vadhana.
The late royals were renowned for promoting good health in rural areas.
