Insurgents set fire to six Pattani schools
Muslim insurgents set fire to six schools in Pattani late Saturday night and early Sunday, police said. Five schools were torched in Thung Yang Daeng district and another in Mayor district.
Most of the attacked schools were burnt to the ground and could not resume classes soon. Ban Duboh school in Thung Yang Daeng was the one that did not suffer much damage as village defence volunteers put out the fire shortly after the arson.
