Police rescued two underage girls on Monday in a raid on a brothel in Nong Khai's Muang district.

Nong Khai police officers joined forces with immigration police and official of Social Development and Human Security Department to search a three-storey townhouse in tambon Nai Muang after learning that underage girls were being used for prostitution at the house.
A 66-year-old man, along with a Thai man and Lao woman, were arrested after a police officer lured them into providing an underage girl in exchange for Bt500.
The brothel had two minors and four adult women, one of whom is Thai and the others from Laos.
The 15-year-old rescued girl told police that she had been working at the brothel for two months, while the other girl, 16, had been working for a week.
Both had to service up to five guests a day, getting Bt200 each time, with the pimps pocketing the other Bt300.
The Social Development and Human Security Department took the underage girls under its wing, while police charged the three suspects of human trafficking and procuring women for sex trade.
