NACC appeals against court ruling on former city official

The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has filed an appeal against the Central Administrative Court's ruling cancelling the dismissal of former Bangkok permanent secretary Natthanon Thaweesin in relation to the controversial procurement of fire tr

NACC secretary-general Sansern Poljiak said the commission’s board disagreed with the October 21 ruling that Natthanon’s action could be put down to dereliction of duty, which did not cause serious damage to the city. NACC said it would appeal the verdict because the official was dismissed after the NACC found grounds for serious disciplinary action.
