Toyota recalls 361,800 cars worldwide

Tokyo (dpa) - Toyota Motor Corp is recalling about 361,800 vehicles worldwide to fix a variety of flaws, the car maker said Wednesday.

Around 170,000 Camry sedans were being recalled due to problems with a ball joint that could cause a loss of control of the car.
Another recall covers 105,800 Hiace and Regius Ace vehicles, mainly in Japan, to fix the fuel pipe, the world's largest carmaker said.
The company is also recalling 86,000 Crown and Majesta cars in Japan to repair the seat belt assemblies.
Of the total, about 228,000 units are being recalled in Japan and 123,000 in Europe, Toyota said, with a few thousand in other territories.
The company said it was not aware of any accidents, injuries, or fatalities caused by the defects.
