Central Group expresses regret over shelf collapse

The Central Group says it feels "deeply sorry" after 3-metre-high shelves at its HomeWorks store in Phuket collapsed and injured a family of three.
The company issued a statement Monday in response to the incident on Sunday.
It said the incident occurred in the paint section of the store at 4pm, putting a husband and wife and their daughter in hospital with minor injuries.
Central said the trio had been treated at Bangkok Hospital on the island. It said the parents had been discharged and their daughter was being held for observation.
It “takes full responsibility for all expenses” and will release the findings of the investigation into the incident as soon as possible.
