Ten districts in three provinces declared cold-spell disaster zones

Deputy Interior Minister Suthi Makboon said Thursday ten districts in Mae Hong Son, Loei and Chiang Mai have been cold-spell disaster zones.
He said he had received reports from the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department that 512 villages in the districts were affected by the long period of cold weather.
He said he had instructed the department to coordinate with the provincial administrations to provide warm clothing to the affected villagers urgently.
