Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology director Pornpun Waitayangkoon said the PISA online exams comprised mathematics, science and reading tests.
Test-takers will also have two options: do the whole test and have the three subjects randomly selected for you or choose which subject to do first.
The test – available at http://pisaitems.ipst.ac.th and http://learningspace.ipst.ac.th – can be done via a computer, a computer tablet or a smart-phone and is supported by all web browsers.
A PISA video tutorial is also available at http://onlinetesting.ipst.ac.th/tutorial.php.
The 2015 PISA will see the emphasis shift to online with a focus on the science assessment, so the official test will be carried out in August on 15-year-old students randomly selected nationwide.
