But the body’s spokesman Kamnoon Sidhisamarn said an exception would be made for delicate articles, and CDC vice-president Manit Suksomjit and fellow CDC member Mechai Viravaidya would discuss this matter with the media at a later date.
The charter drafters are scheduled to begin work on January 12.
Kamnoon said more time had been given to the CDC subcommittee headed by CDC secretary Kanchanarat Leeviroj that is analysing and arranging proposals before forwarding them to the drafting committee without the 10 other sub-panels seeing them.
However he said the other sub-panels may be invited to participate in the process of scrutinising the charter draft article by article.
In relation to the sub-panel headed by Charas Suwanmala that examined the section of the charter related to financial matters centred on good political leaders and political institutions, he said a new definition now applied to the section.
It was now called “national finance” – in a bid to prevent a financial sector interpretation of political benefits and Cabinet and government officials using government funds outside their remit as before, Kamnoon said.
