Pongpat has chest pain

Former Central Investigation Bureau chief Pongpat Chayapan was transferred to the Central Chest Institute of Thailand yesterday to seek treatment for tightness in the chest. It was suspected that the condition stemmed from his chronic heart disease.

Bangkok Remand Prison warder Ayuth Sinthanapun said Pongpat suffered from myocardial infarction since Friday night and had initially been admitted to the Correctional Hospital. However, his condition did not improve so doctors transferred him to the institute. Pongpat and his accomplices face various criminal charges, including lese majeste.
