Five southern provinces warned of continued heavy rains

The Meteorological Department Sunday issued a statement to warn residents of Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat to brace themselves for continued heavy rains.
The department said a strong northeast monsoon would also cause a very rough sea in the lower Gulf of Thailand so small fishing boats should not leave the shores.
