EC launches two films on history

The Election Commission yesterday launched two short films about Thai history and its own history ahead of the upcoming Asean Economic Community (AEC).

EC chairman Supachai Somcharoen and other executives attended the premiere of the films yesterday at the EC head office’s Democratic Education Centre.
The first 12-minute film narrated a concise history from the Sukhothai era to 1932, when the Rattanakosin administrative system change was introduced. The second five-minute film talks about the EC’s establishment in 1997 and its roles and duties. The films come in three languages – Thai, Mandarin and English.
The EC plans to use these two films as material to present to interested persons and visitors, including schoolchildren, to the EC head office.
