Hundreds to get free surgeries to mark Queen's birthday

Charoenkrung Pracharak Hospital will offer free arthroscopic surgery for 284 uterine tumour patients to celebrate HM the Queen's 84th birthday in 2016, Bangkok Governor MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra said yesterday.
The project’s candidates had to be Thai women aged 30-60 who had no serious chronic diseases that could pose a surgery risk, Sukhumbhand said, adding that surgery yielded less post-surgery pain and a faster recovery.
