Three die in Kalasin house fire

A mother and her two children were killed early Wednesday morning in a fire that razed their home in Kalasin's Kuchinarai district.
Police were alerted at shortly after midnight to the fire and fire fighters wrestled with the flames for more than an hour before bringing the blaze under control. The house, which doubled as a grocery store, was totally destroyed.
Fire fighters tried to rescue Taewan, 42, Vanida Bunkod, 15 and Vuttichai Srithopathum, 5 who were trapped inside the house. However, their attempts were thwarted by an electrical door that couldn’t be opened and iron grilles on the bedroom windows.
