Julianne Moore wins best actress Oscar for 'Still Alice'

HOLLYWOOD, United States (AFP) - Julianne Moore on Sunday won the best actress Oscar for her moving performance as a linguistics professor suffering from early onset Alzheimer's disease in "Still Alice."

Moore defeated France's Marion Cotillard ("Two Days, One Night"), American Reese Witherspoon ("Wild") and two actresses from Britain -- Felicity Jones ("The Theory of Everything") and Rosamund Pike ("Gone Girl").
