BMA’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Department chief Pranee Satayaprakob said about 200,000 people visited the temporary market from February 12 to March 1.
Pranee said the BMA’s Bangkok Brand shop had earned some Bt12 million in sales.
Five markets from four districts sent selected vendors to join the floating market fairs and this has resulted in their becoming known to a wider public,” she added.
The five markets are Nanglerng Market from Pomprap district, Wat Thong Market from Bangkok Noi district, Wat Nimmannoradee Market from Phasi Charoeng district and Hua Takeh Market and Luang Paeng Market from Lat Krabang district.
