The Criminal Court Thursday acquitted former Department of Special Investigation chief Tarit Pengdit in a defamation lawsuit filed by former deputy prime minister Suthep Thaugsuban, who is now a Buddhist monk.
The court ruled that Tarit was simply giving his opinion in his capacity as DSI chief when he blamed Suthep for the failed project to build new police stations nationwide.
