Ex-KMITL rector sues former bank manager

THAWIL PHUENGMA, the former rector of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Latkrabang (KMITL), who faces allegations in relation to the embezzlement of funds from the institute, yesterday filed both criminal and civil complaints against former bank mana

He accuses Songklod of framing him by filing faulty information to state officials.
In Criminal Court, Thawil wants Songklod to be punished for allegedly framing him, and in the civil suit, he is seeking Bt3 million in damages.
Thawil’s lawyer Songkran Atchariyasap said his client’s name was used to open 200 bank accounts without his signature, hence he obviously had no knowledge of the accounts used in the embezzlement.
Both courts have set June 29 as a pre-trial hearing date.
