Nine Britons stopped in Turkey en route to Syria
Istanbul (dpa) - Turkish border troops have seized nine British citizens illegally trying to cross the border into war-torn Syria, the Turkish army said on Wednesday.
Turkey is the country most used by Western jihadists wishing to join the Islamic State militant group fighting in Syria's civil war.
The Turkish government has denied accusations it is not consistent enough in stopping illegal travel into Syria.
