Police are considering three charges against actress Panadda “Bum” Wongphudee over donations to the Good Deeds (Ongkorn Tham Dee) Foundation, the Economic Crime Suppression Division disclosed in Bangkok on November 3, 2026.
Pol Maj Gen Tatpoom Jaruprach, commander of the Economic Crime Suppression Division, identified the potential offences as public fraud, money laundering and violations of the Computer Crime Act. Preliminary evidence suggested that Panadda’s conduct could fall within all three categories, Tatpoom explained.
Pol Maj Gen Tatpoom added that Panadda’s husband, Atip “Got” Anantawan, could face a charge of jointly laundering money even if investigators found he had not participated in public fraud.
Panadda pledged to use personal assets to address any mistakes or responsibilities attributable to her, after spending almost an hour giving a statement and filing a complaint with the Crime Suppression Division.
Panadda apologised for trusting someone close to her above anyone else. Her complaint aimed to bring those involved to justice and recover as much property as possible for the foundation.
Responding to Boonyanuch “Oysri” Saengsri’s earlier request for an investigation, Panadda stressed that she would explain the facts, cooperate fully with the justice process and would not flee.
Panadda committed to resolving questions about her conduct and putting the foundation’s management and assets in order.
Economic crime investigators issued summonses for broadcasters Phut Apiwan and Kanchai “Num” Kamnerdploy, identified in the police account as Phudit Kamnerdploy, to give statements about donations to the foundation.
Pol Maj Gen Tatpoom explained that investigators were gathering evidence to trace the donated funds. The Economic Crime Suppression Division also plans to summon foundation board members and other people involved for further questioning before completing its case file.
