Fire at Phang Nga convenience store

A fire broke out at a Super Cheap 24 Hours convenient store and a nearby salon in the Khok Kloy Market in Phang Nga's Takua Thung district on Friday night.

Following the fire report at 9.20pm on Friday, fire-fighters with 10 fire engines managed to bring it under control by 11pm. No injuries were reported.
The convenient store’s workers told police that the fire started on the second floor before quickly spreading, so they scrambled out of the building.
Police suspected a short circuit was the cause of fire, as some witnesses claimed to hear a sound resembling an electricity transformer explosion prior to the fire.
