Six Thai students in Pokhara, Nepal are located, said Thai Ambassador Vutti Vuttisan. They have contacted their families, he said.
The Thai Embassy has instructed them to find way to Kathmandu, where they can board a flight back home.
Vutti admitted that it would take some time to reach Kathmandu as domestic airlines suspend services. The embassy is providing an alternative travel plan to the students.
The ambassador also revealed that a woman losing her life during the avalanche at Mt Everest also held the US citizenship. It is possible that her departure was reported to the US embassy in Kathmandu.
The ambassador is now in Bangkok. He would return to Kathmandu tomorrow.
