Revoke Thaksin's red passport, says Democrat ex-MP

The government should revoke the diplomatic passport issued to ousted and fugitive former premier Thaksin Shinawatra, a former MP of the Democrat Party, Watchara Petthong, said.

Watchara cited Thaksin’s latest scheduled talk in South Korea next Monday as proof that Thaksin is still engaging in political activities.
Watchara said Prime Minister General Prayut Chanocha, who is also head of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), should exercise his power under Article 44 of the provisional charter to revoke Thaksin’s diplomatic passport. The red diplomatic passport is normally issued to all former PMs.
