Trang national park closed for tourism

All tourist spots in the boundaries of Hat Chao Mai National Park in the southern province of Trang will be closed from June 1 to September 30, for the natural restoration of the ecological system.

Manoj Wongsureerat, the national park's chief, said the period is also the monsoon season. He vowed to take actions against all tour operators who violate the order during the period.
The province's annual underwater wedding ceremony is hosted annually in the area.
The chief added that the Trang is a key destination for ecological tourism and it draws an increasing number of tourists.
