Couple arrested with 216 kgs of opium in Nong Khai
A married couple were arrested in Nong Khai's Sangkhom district on Tuesday for having allegedly run an opium factory.
Acting on tips-off, police and troops raided the house of Prasong Anchalee and Ubon Anchalee and found processed and raw opium with a combined weight of 216 kilogrammes. The authorities made the raid after they learned that the two had smuggled opium from Laos.
