Deputy chief monk Phra Rajasimaporn, in his capacity as committee chairman, said the panel had already notified the temple in advance of their May 25 inspection. It would record first the assets within the temple compound. As for the bank accounts, account books, amulet income and expense books – as well as the Luang Phor Khoon Foundation’s money – the committee would contact banks for detailed inspection, he said.
Meanwhile, a throng of people continued to visit Khon Kaen University (KKU)’s Golden Jubilee Hall to pay their respects to Luang Phor Khoon, whose body is on display in a glass casket. Money donations amounted to more than Bt10.3 million as of Tuesday. Former prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva also went to worship and make merit for the late monk yesterday.
